अमावास्यां च पितरः पौर्णमास्यां च देवताः ।
मन्मुखेनैव हूयन्ते भुञ्जते च हुतं हविः ।
सर्वभक्षः कथं तेषां भविष्यामि मुखं त्वहम् ॥११॥

11. amāvāsyāṁ ca pitaraḥ paurṇamāsyāṁ ca devatāḥ ,
manmukhenaiva hūyante bhuñjate ca hutaṁ haviḥ ,
sarvabhakṣaḥ kathaṁ teṣāṁ bhaviṣyāmi mukhaṁ tvaham.

bhuñjate ca hutam haviḥ sarvabhakṣaḥ
katham teṣām bhaviṣyāmi mukham tu aham

11. On the new moon, offerings are made to the ancestors, and on the full moon, to the gods. Through my mouth alone are these offerings made, and through me they partake of the sacrificed oblation. How can I, who am all-devouring, possibly be their mouth?
