महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-7, verse-16

भृगुणा वै महाभाग शप्तोऽग्निः कारणान्तरे ।
कथं देवमुखो भूत्वा यज्ञभागाग्रभुक्तथा ।
हुतभुक्सर्वलोकेषु सर्वभक्षत्वमेष्यति ॥१६॥
16. bhṛguṇā vai mahābhāga śapto'gniḥ kāraṇāntare ,
kathaṁ devamukho bhūtvā yajñabhāgāgrabhuktathā ,
hutabhuksarvalokeṣu sarvabhakṣatvameṣyati.

kāraṇāntare katham devamukhaḥ bhūtvā

16. O Illustrious One (Brahmā), Agni was indeed cursed by Bhṛgu for another reason. How can Agni, who has become the mouth of the gods and is thus the foremost enjoyer of sacrificial shares, the consumer of oblations in all worlds, become an eater of everything?
