महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-7, verse-14

अथर्षयः समुद्विग्ना देवान्गत्वाब्रुवन्वचः ।
अग्निनाशात्क्रियाभ्रंशाद्भ्रान्ता लोकास्त्रयोऽनघाः ।
विधध्वमत्र यत्कार्यं न स्यात्कालात्ययो यथा ॥१४॥
14. atharṣayaḥ samudvignā devāngatvābruvanvacaḥ ,
agnināśātkriyābhraṁśādbhrāntā lokāstrayo'naghāḥ ,
vidhadhvamatra yatkāryaṁ na syātkālātyayo yathā.
14. atha ṛṣayaḥ samudvignāḥ devān gatvā
abruvan vacaḥ agnināśāt kriyābhraṃśāt
bhrāntāḥ lokāḥ trayaḥ anaghāḥ vidhadhvam
atra yat kāryam na syāt kālātyayaḥ yathā
14. Then, the agitated sages went to the gods and spoke these words: 'O sinless ones, due to the destruction of fire and the disruption of rituals, the three worlds have become bewildered. Please accomplish here whatever needs to be done, so that there is no further delay.'
