महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-44, verse-9

जरत्कारुस्ततो वाक्यमित्युक्ता प्रत्यभाषत ।
आश्वासयन्ती संतप्तं वासुकिं पन्नगेश्वरम् ॥९॥
9. jaratkārustato vākyamityuktā pratyabhāṣata ,
āśvāsayantī saṁtaptaṁ vāsukiṁ pannageśvaram.
9. jaratkāruḥ tataḥ vākyam iti uktā prati abhāṣata
āśvāsayantī santaptam vāsukim pannageśvaram
9. Jaratkaru, thus addressed, then replied, comforting Vasuki, the tormented lord of serpents.
