महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-197, verse-22

सोऽशक्यतां च विज्ञाय तेषामग्रेण भारत ।
दायाद्यतां च धर्मेण सम्यक्तेषु समाचर ॥२२॥
22. so'śakyatāṁ ca vijñāya teṣāmagreṇa bhārata ,
dāyādyatāṁ ca dharmeṇa samyakteṣu samācara.
22. saḥ aśakyatām ca vijñāya teṣām agreṇa bhārata
dāyādyatām ca dharmeṇa samyak teṣu samācara
22. O Bhārata, having fully understood their invincibility and their rightful inheritance (dāyādya) by natural law (dharma), you should behave justly towards them.
