महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-163, verse-3

गन्धर्व उवाच ।
इत्युक्तः सविता तेन ददानीत्येव निश्चितः ।
प्रत्यभाषत तं विप्रं प्रतिनन्द्य दिवाकरः ॥३॥

3. gandharva uvāca ,
ityuktaḥ savitā tena dadānītyeva niścitaḥ ,
pratyabhāṣata taṁ vipraṁ pratinandya divākaraḥ.

3. gandharvaḥ uvāca iti uktaḥ savitā tena dadāmi iti eva
niścitaḥ pratyabhāṣata tam vipram pratinandya divākaraḥ

3. The Gandharva said: "Thus addressed by Vasiṣṭha, Savitā, the sun-god (Divākara), being resolved to grant the request, replied to that brahmin, having first welcomed him, saying, 'I give (my daughter)."'

3. הגַנְדְהַרְוַה אמר, כשהתבקש כך החליט סַוִיטְרְ, יוצר היום, ואמר, אתן. הוא קיבל את הבְּרַהְמִין בברכה וענה לו.
