महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-163, verse-10

ततस्तस्मिन्गिरिश्रेष्ठे देवगन्धर्वसेविते ।
जग्राह विधिवत्पाणिं तपत्याः स नरर्षभः ॥१०॥
10. tatastasmingiriśreṣṭhe devagandharvasevite ,
jagrāha vidhivatpāṇiṁ tapatyāḥ sa nararṣabhaḥ.
10. tataḥ tasmin giriśreṣṭhe devagandharvasevite
jagrāha vidhivat pāṇim tapatyāḥ sa nararṣabhaḥ
10. Thereupon, on that excellent mountain frequented by gods and gandharvas, that foremost of men (King Saṃvaraṇa) took Tapatī's hand according to ritual (vidhivat).
