महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-163, verse-1

वसिष्ठ उवाच ।
यैषा ते तपती नाम सावित्र्यवरजा सुता ।
तां त्वां संवरणस्यार्थे वरयामि विभावसो ॥१॥
1. vasiṣṭha uvāca ,
yaiṣā te tapatī nāma sāvitryavarajā sutā ,
tāṁ tvāṁ saṁvaraṇasyārthe varayāmi vibhāvaso.
1. vasiṣṭhaḥ uvāca yā eṣā te tapatī nāma sāvitrī avarajā
sutā tām tvām saṃvaraṇasya arthe varayāmi vibhāvaso
1. Vasiṣṭha said: "O Vivāvasu, I ask for your daughter, Tapati by name, who is Sāvitrī's younger sister, for Saṃvaraṇa."
