एतत्ते कथितं राजन्कुम्भयोनेः सुभाषितम् ।
अमुना तत्त्वमार्गेण तत्पदं प्राप्स्यसि ध्रुवम् ॥ १ ॥

O King, this excellent teaching has been recounted to you, originating from Kumbhayoni (Agastya). By following this path of truth (tattva), you will undoubtedly attain that supreme state.
