श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
चिद्व्योमार्थतयार्थानां यथास्थितमिदं जगत् ।
सरूपालोकमननमपि चिद्व्योम केवलम् ॥ १ ॥
śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca ,
cidvyomārthatayārthānāṃ yathāsthitamidaṃ jagat ,
sarūpālokamananamapi cidvyoma kevalam 1

cit-vyoma-arthatayā arthānām yathā-sthitam
idam jagat | sa-rūpa-āloka-mananam

1. Shri Vasishtha said: This world, as it exists, with all its objects, is, by its very nature, the consciousness-space (cidvyoma). Furthermore, even the contemplation of forms and perceptions is merely consciousness-space (cidvyoma).
