प्राणिनामिह सर्वेषां योन्यन्तरज एव किम् ।
समुद्भवः संभवति किमुतान्योऽपि वा प्रभो ॥ २१ ॥

samudbhavaḥ saṃbhavati kimutānyo'pi vā prabho 21

Śrī Rāma said: O Lord, for all living beings here, does birth (samudbhavaḥ) occur only as being born from another species, or does some other (type of birth) also occur?
