श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
श्रृणु किंवृत्तमेतेषां तात तत्र विपश्चिताम् ।
तालीतमालमालाढ्यद्वीपाद्रिवनचारिणाम् ॥ २ ॥
śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca ,
śrṛṇu kiṃvṛttameteṣāṃ tāta tatra vipaścitām ,
tālītamālamālāḍhyadvīpādrivanacāriṇām 2

2. Sage Vasiṣṭha said: Dear child, listen to what happened there to these wise ones, who roamed the forests, mountains, and islands rich with groves of palmyra and tamāla trees.
