योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-28, verse-22

नरा मही महिपतयो रसातलं ग्रहा नभस्त्रिदशगणास्त्रिविष्टपम् ।
दिशोऽद्रयो दिक्पतयश्च कंदरान्वनेचरा गगनचराश्च खं ययुः ॥ २२ ॥

grahāḥ nabhaḥ tridaśagaṇāḥ triviṣṭapam
diśaḥ adrayaḥ dikpatayaḥ ca kandarān
vanecharāḥ gaganacarāḥ ca kham yayuḥ

22. Men went to the earth, kings to the nether regions, planets to the sky, and the hosts of gods to heaven. The directions and mountains remained in their places, and the guardians of directions went to the caves. Forest dwellers and sky-dwellers went to the sky.
