योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-10, verse-19

प्रतीहारोऽपि नोवाच गौरवेण भयेन च ।
पुनर्वाक्यं महीपानां चित्तवृत्तिषु शिक्षितः ॥ १९ ॥
pratīhāro'pi novāca gauraveṇa bhayena ca ,
punarvākyaṃ mahīpānāṃ cittavṛttiṣu śikṣitaḥ 19
19. pratīhāraḥ api na uvāca gauraveṇa bhayena ca
punar vākyam mahīpānām cittavṛttiṣu śikṣitaḥ
19. pratīhāraḥ api na vākyam punar uvāca,
[saḥ] gauraveṇa bhayena ca [tathā kṛtavān] [yataḥ saḥ] mahīpānām cittavṛttiṣu śikṣitaḥ [āśīt].
19. The chamberlain also did not speak another word, due to respect and fear, for he was skilled in understanding the mental states (cittavṛtti) of kings.
