योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-16, verse-25

अथासुरगुरुत्वं स शुक्रः कालेन लब्धवान् ।
भृगुरप्यात्मनो योग्ये पदेऽतिष्ठदनामये ॥ २५ ॥
athāsuragurutvaṃ sa śukraḥ kālena labdhavān ,
bhṛgurapyātmano yogye pade'tiṣṭhadanāmaye 25
25. atha asura-gurutvam sa śukraḥ kālena labdhavān |
bhṛguḥ api ātmanaḥ yogye pade atiṣṭhat anāmaye ||
25. atha sa śukraḥ kālena asura-gurutvam labdhavān
bhṛguḥ api ātmanaḥ yogye anāmaye pade atiṣṭhat
25. Then, in time, Shukra obtained the position of preceptor to the asuras. Bhrigu also established himself in a suitable, tranquil position for his own self (ātman).
