वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-59, verse-9

तस्य पापमभिप्रायं विदित्वा पाकशासनः ।
सान्त्वपूर्वमिदं वाक्यमुवाच युवनाश्वजम् ॥९॥
9. tasya pāpamabhiprāyaṃ viditvā pākaśāsanaḥ ,
sāntvapūrvamidaṃ vākyamuvāca yuvanāśvajam.

sāntvapurvam idam vākyam uvāca yuvanaśvajam
9. pākaśāsanaḥ tasya pāpam abhiprāyam viditvā

9. Having understood his sinful intention, Indra (pākaśāsana) spoke these conciliatory words to Mandhāta, the son of Yuvanāśva.
