वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-59, verse-18

स गत्वा विप्रियाण्याह बहूनि मधुनः सुतम् ।
वदन्तमेवं तं दूतं भक्षयामास राक्षसः ॥१८॥
18. sa gatvā vipriyāṇyāha bahūni madhunaḥ sutam ,
vadantamevaṃ taṃ dūtaṃ bhakṣayāmāsa rākṣasaḥ.

vadantam evam tam dūtam bhakṣayāmāsa rākṣasaḥ
18. saḥ gatvā madhunaḥ sutam bahūni vipriyāṇi āha

18. Having arrived, he spoke many harsh words to Lavaṇa, the son of Madhu. As the messenger was speaking thus, the demon devoured him.
