वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-27, verse-21

एवंविधानं लङ्कायां कृत्वा राक्षसपुंगवः ।
मेने कृतार्थमात्मानं कृतान्तवशमागतः ॥२१॥
21. evaṃvidhānaṃ laṅkāyāṃ kṛtvā rākṣasapuṃgavaḥ ,
mene kṛtārthamātmānaṃ kṛtāntavaśamāgataḥ.
21. evam vidhānam laṅkāyām kṛtvā rākṣasapuṃgavaḥ
mene kṛtārtham ātmānam kṛtāntavaśam āgataḥ
21. laṅkāyām evam vidhānam kṛtvā,
kṛtāntavaśam āgataḥ rākṣasapuṃgavaḥ ātmānam kṛtārtham mene
21. Having completed such arrangements in Laṅkā, the foremost rākṣasa, though he had come under the sway of destiny, regarded himself (ātman) as having fulfilled his purpose.
