वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-27, verse-1

तत्तु माल्यवतो वाक्यं हितमुक्तं दशाननः ।
न मर्षयति दुष्टात्मा कालस्य वशमागतः ॥१॥
1. tattu mālyavato vākyaṃ hitamuktaṃ daśānanaḥ ,
na marṣayati duṣṭātmā kālasya vaśamāgataḥ.

na marṣayati duṣṭātmā kālasya vaśam āgataḥ
1. tu duṣṭātmā kālasya vaśam āgataḥ daśānanaḥ

1. But the evil-minded Rāvaṇa (daśānana), having come under the sway of fate, did not tolerate that beneficial advice spoken by Mālyavān.
