वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-68, verse-10

तदवश्यं त्वया कार्यः स सुहृत् सुहृदां वर ।
अकृत्वा न हि ते सिद्धिमहं पश्यामि चिन्तयन् ॥१०॥
10. tadavaśyaṃ tvayā kāryaḥ sa suhṛt suhṛdāṃ vara ,
akṛtvā na hi te siddhimahaṃ paśyāmi cintayan.
10. tat avaśyam tvayā kāryaḥ saḥ suhṛt suhṛdām vara
akṛtvā na hi te siddhim aham paśyāmi cintayan
10. suhṛdām vara tat avaśyam tvayā saḥ suhṛt kāryaḥ
akṛtvā hi te siddhim aham cintayan na paśyāmi
10. Therefore, O best among friends, you must certainly make that one your ally. Without doing so, I do not foresee success for you, even after careful consideration.
