वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-24, verse-15

ततो रामः सुसंक्रुद्धो मण्डलीकृतकार्मुकः ।
ससर्ज निशितान्बाणाञ् शतशो ऽथ सहस्रशः ॥१५॥
15. tato rāmaḥ susaṃkruddho maṇḍalīkṛtakārmukaḥ ,
sasarja niśitānbāṇāñ śataśo'tha sahasraśaḥ.

| sasarja niśitān bāṇān śataśaḥ atha sahasraśaḥ

15. Thereupon, Rāma, greatly enraged and having drawn his bow into a circle, discharged sharpened arrows by the hundreds and by the thousands.
