वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-16, verse-12

एवमुक्तस्तु राक्षस्या शूर्पणख्या परंतपः ।
ऋजुबुद्धितया सर्वमाख्यातुमुपचक्रमे ॥१२॥
12. evamuktastu rākṣasyā śūrpaṇakhyā paraṃtapaḥ ,
ṛjubuddhitayā sarvamākhyātumupacakrame.

12. When thus addressed by the female demon (rākṣasī) Surpanakha, the tormentor of foes (paraṃtapaḥ) began to narrate everything, due to his straightforward nature (ṛjubuddhitayā).
