वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-61, verse-25

स नः समीक्ष्य द्विजवर्यवृत्तं नृपं विना राज्यमरण्यभूतम् ।
कुमारमिक्ष्वाकुसुतं वदान्यं त्वमेव राजानमिहाभिषिञ्चय ॥२५॥
25. sa naḥ samīkṣya dvijavaryavṛttaṃ nṛpaṃ vinā rājyamaraṇyabhūtam ,
kumāramikṣvākusutaṃ vadānyaṃ tvameva rājānamihābhiṣiñcaya.
25. saḥ naḥ samīkṣya dvijavaryavṛttam
nṛpam vinā rājyam araṇyabhūtam
kumāram ikṣvākusutam vadānyam
tvam eva rājānam iha abhiṣiñcaya
25. tvam eva saḥ naḥ dvijavaryavṛttam
nṛpam vinā rājyam araṇyabhūtam
samīkṣya iha vadānyam ikṣvākusutam
kumāram rājānam abhiṣiñcaya
25. You, having observed our plight and the exemplary conduct (dharma) of the best Brahmins, and [seeing] the kingdom without a king having become a wilderness, should yourself consecrate the generous prince, the son of Ikṣvāku, as king here.
