बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-73, verse-2

नीच खं चान्तरे प्रोक्ता रश्मयश्चानुपात्तः ।
नीचोनं तु ग्रहं भार्धाधिकं चक्राद्विशोधयेत् ॥२॥
2. nīca khaṃ cāntare proktā raśmayaścānupāttaḥ .
nīconaṃ tu grahaṃ bhārdhādhikaṃ cakrādviśodhayet.

2. The rays are declared to be zero (kham) when a planet is in its debilitation (nīca) point, and proportional in between. One should subtract the debilitation point (nīca) from the planet's position. If this resulting arc is greater than half the zodiac (180 degrees), one should subtract it from the full zodiac (360 degrees).
