मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-118, verse-9

पितर्युपरते विप्र सोऽधिराज्ये स्थितो नृपः ।
स बलाश्वो वशं निन्ये भुवि सर्वमहीक्षितः ॥९॥
9. pitaryuparate vipra so'dhirājye sthito nṛpaḥ .
sa balāśvo vaśaṃ ninye bhuvi sarvamahīkṣitaḥ.
9. pitari uperate vipra saḥ adhirājye sthitaḥ nṛpaḥ
saḥ balāśvaḥ vaśam ninye bhuvi sarvamahīkṣitaḥ
9. O Brahmin, when his father passed away, that king was established on the throne. Balaśva brought all the kings on earth under his control.
