मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-118, verse-11

अथाखिलनरेन्द्रास्ते दायादास्तस्य दुर्मदाः ।
न चाभ्युत्थाय सततं त चास्मै प्रददुः करान् ॥११॥
11. athākhilanarendrāste dāyādāstasya durmadāḥ .
na cābhyutthāya satataṃ ta cāsmai pradaduḥ karān.
11. atha akhila-narendrāḥ te dāyādāḥ tasya durmadāḥ na
ca abhyutthāya satatam ta ca asmai pradaduḥ karān
11. Then, all those arrogant kings, his heirs, neither consistently showed deference by rising up, nor did they give him taxes.
