मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-118, verse-15

पुररोधेन तेनाथ कुपितः स महीपतिः ।
स्वल्पकोशोऽल्पदण्डश्च वैक्लव्यं परमं गतः ॥१५॥
15. purarodhena tenātha kupitaḥ sa mahīpatiḥ .

15. Then, angered by that siege of the city, that king, who had a small treasury and few troops, became utterly distressed.
