अतोऽहं ताश्च कन्या वै भ्रातुरर्थाय भारत ।
तच्च कर्म महाबाहो सत्यवत्यै न्यवेदयम् ॥२२॥

22. ato'haṁ tāśca kanyā vai bhrāturarthāya bhārata ,
tacca karma mahābāho satyavatyai nyavedayam.

22. Therefore, O Bhārata, I indeed [brought] those maidens for my brother's sake. And, O mighty-armed one, I reported that deed (karma) to Satyavatī.
