महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-121, verse-22

इदं महाख्यानमनुत्तमं मतं बहुश्रुतानां गतरोषरागिणाम् ।
समीक्ष्य लोके बहुधा प्रधाविता त्रिवर्गदृष्टिः पृथिवीमुपाश्नुते ॥२२॥
22. idaṁ mahākhyānamanuttamaṁ mataṁ; bahuśrutānāṁ gataroṣarāgiṇām ,
samīkṣya loke bahudhā pradhāvitā; trivargadṛṣṭiḥ pṛthivīmupāśnute.

samīkṣya loke bahudhā pradhāvitā

22. This great and unequalled narrative is esteemed by the highly learned, who are free from attachment and anger. Having thoroughly examined it, one realizes that the comprehensive understanding of the three aims of life (dharma, artha, and kāma), which has spread widely throughout the world in various ways, pervades the entire earth.
