O king, this person (Arjuna) is worthy of ascending even Indra's throne, for he is devoted to sacred knowledge (brāhmaṇya), highly learned, a generous renunciant (tyāgī), diligent in performing Vedic rituals (yajñaśīla), and steadfast in his vows (dṛḍhavrata).
