महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-65, verse-11

एनं दश सहस्राणि कुञ्जराणां तरस्विनाम् ।
अन्वयुः पृष्ठतो राजन्यावदध्यावसत्कुरून् ॥११॥
11. enaṁ daśa sahasrāṇi kuñjarāṇāṁ tarasvinām ,
anvayuḥ pṛṣṭhato rājanyāvadadhyāvasatkurūn.

11. O king, ten thousand mighty elephants followed him from behind, for as long as he dwelled among the Kurus.
