महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-50, verse-6

कमण्डलुर्ध्वजे यस्य शातकुम्भमयः शुभः ।
आचार्य एष वै द्रोणः सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वरः ॥६॥
6. kamaṇḍalurdhvaje yasya śātakumbhamayaḥ śubhaḥ ,
ācārya eṣa vai droṇaḥ sarvaśastrabhṛtāṁ varaḥ.
6. kamaṇḍaluḥ dhvaje yasya śātakumbhamayaḥ śubhaḥ
ācāryaḥ eṣaḥ vai droṇaḥ sarvaśastrabṛtām varaḥ
6. He whose banner bears an auspicious water-pot (kamaṇḍalu) made of pure gold – this indeed is preceptor Droṇa, the foremost among all weapon-bearers.
