महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-33, verse-11

राजपुत्र हितप्रेप्सुः क्षिप्रं निर्याहि वै स्वयम् ।
त्वां हि मत्स्यो महीपालः शून्यपालमिहाकरोत् ॥११॥
11. rājaputra hitaprepsuḥ kṣipraṁ niryāhi vai svayam ,
tvāṁ hi matsyo mahīpālaḥ śūnyapālamihākarot.

11. O Prince, desiring your own welfare, you should quickly go forth yourself. For King Matsya, the protector of the earth, has made you the guardian of this empty city.
