महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-13, verse-16

मिथ्याभिगृध्नो हि नरः पापात्मा मोहमास्थितः ।
अयशः प्राप्नुयाद्घोरं सुमहत्प्राप्नुयाद्भयम् ॥१६॥
16. mithyābhigṛdhno hi naraḥ pāpātmā mohamāsthitaḥ ,
ayaśaḥ prāpnuyādghoraṁ sumahatprāpnuyādbhayam.
16. mithyābhigṛdhnaḥ hi naraḥ pāpātmā moham āsthitaḥ
ayaśaḥ prāpnuyāt ghoram sumahat prāpnuyāt bhayam
16. Indeed, a man (nara) who is falsely greedy, having a sinful nature (pāpātmā) and entrenched in delusion (moha), will obtain terrible infamy and acquire very great fear.
