महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-92, verse-7

तीर्थानि देवा विविशुर्नाविशन्भारतासुराः ।
तानधर्मकृतो दर्पः पूर्वमेव समाविशत् ॥७॥
7. tīrthāni devā viviśurnāviśanbhāratāsurāḥ ,
tānadharmakṛto darpaḥ pūrvameva samāviśat.
7. tīrthāni devāḥ viviśuḥ na aviśan bhārata asurāḥ
tān adharmakṛtaḥ darpaḥ pūrvam eva samāviśat
7. The gods entered the sacred bathing places, but the Asuras did not, O Bhārata. For those who acted contrary to natural law (dharma), pride (darpa) had already taken hold of them.
