महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-92, verse-21

कीर्तिं पुण्यामविन्दन्त यथा देवास्तपोबलात् ।
देवर्षयश्च कार्त्स्न्येन तथा त्वमपि वेत्स्यसे ॥२१॥
21. kīrtiṁ puṇyāmavindanta yathā devāstapobalāt ,
devarṣayaśca kārtsnyena tathā tvamapi vetsyase.
21. kīrtim puṇyām avindanta yathā devāḥ tapobalāt
devarṣayaḥ ca kārtsnyena tathā tvam api vetsyase
21. Just as the gods obtained sacred renown through the power of their asceticism (tapas), and the divine sages (devarṣis) did so completely; similarly, you too will achieve (it).
