महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-78, verse-12

ये चेदं कथयिष्यन्ति नलस्य चरितं महत् ।
श्रोष्यन्ति चाप्यभीक्ष्णं वै नालक्ष्मीस्तान्भजिष्यति ।
अर्थास्तस्योपपत्स्यन्ते धन्यतां च गमिष्यति ॥१२॥
12. ye cedaṁ kathayiṣyanti nalasya caritaṁ mahat ,
śroṣyanti cāpyabhīkṣṇaṁ vai nālakṣmīstānbhajiṣyati ,
arthāstasyopapatsyante dhanyatāṁ ca gamiṣyati.
12. ye ca idam kathayiṣyanti nalasya caritam
mahat | śroṣyanti ca api abhīkṣṇam vai
na alakṣmīḥ tān bhajiṣyati | arthāḥ
tasya upapatsyante dhanyatām ca gamiṣyati
12. And those who narrate this great story of Nala, and those who hear it repeatedly, indeed misfortune will not befall them. Their aims will be accomplished, and they will attain prosperity.
