महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-78, verse-10

इतिहासमिमं चापि कलिनाशनमुच्यते ।
शक्यमाश्वासितुं श्रुत्वा त्वद्विधेन विशां पते ॥१०॥
10. itihāsamimaṁ cāpi kalināśanamucyate ,
śakyamāśvāsituṁ śrutvā tvadvidhena viśāṁ pate.
10. itihāsam imam ca api kali-nāśanam ucyate | śakyam
āśvāsayitum śrutvā tvat-vidhena viśām pate
10. And this history (itihāsa), which is said to dispel the misfortunes of the Kali Age, can certainly bring comfort to someone like you, O Lord of the people, once it is heard.
