महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-63, verse-13

ततः कर्कोटको नागः सान्त्वयन्नलमब्रवीत् ।
मया तेऽन्तर्हितं रूपं न त्वा विद्युर्जना इति ॥१३॥
13. tataḥ karkoṭako nāgaḥ sāntvayannalamabravīt ,
mayā te'ntarhitaṁ rūpaṁ na tvā vidyurjanā iti.
13. tataḥ karkoṭakaḥ nāgaḥ sāntvayan nalam abravīt
mayā te antarhitam rūpam na tvā vidyuḥ janāḥ iti
13. Then, the serpent Karkoṭaka, comforting Nala, said, "Your form has been concealed by me so that people may not recognize you."
