महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-6, verse-13

मयाप्युक्तं यत्क्षमं कौरवाणां हितं पथ्यं धृतराष्ट्रस्य चैव ।
तद्वै पथ्यं तन्मनो नाभ्युपैति ततश्चाहं क्षममन्यन्न मन्ये ॥१३॥

13. mayāpyuktaṁ yatkṣamaṁ kauravāṇāṁ; hitaṁ pathyaṁ dhṛtarāṣṭrasya caiva ,
tadvai pathyaṁ tanmano nābhyupaiti; tataścāhaṁ kṣamamanyanna manye.

13. mayā api uktam yat kṣamam kauravāṇām
hitam pathyam dhṛtarāṣṭrasya ca eva
tat vai pathyam tat manaḥ na abhyupaiti
tataḥ ca aham kṣamam anyat na manye

13. "What I said was indeed suitable for the Kauravas and beneficial and proper for Dhṛtarāṣṭra himself. However, his mind does not accept that truly wholesome advice. Therefore, I do not consider any other course of action suitable."
