महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-139, verse-10

अर्वावसुरुवाच ।
करोतु वै भवान्सत्रं बृहद्द्युम्नस्य धीमतः ।
ब्रह्महत्यां चरिष्येऽहं त्वदर्थं नियतेन्द्रियः ॥१०॥
10. arvāvasuruvāca ,
karotu vai bhavānsatraṁ bṛhaddyumnasya dhīmataḥ ,
brahmahatyāṁ cariṣye'haṁ tvadarthaṁ niyatendriyaḥ.
10. arvāvasuḥ uvāca karotu vai bhavān satram bṛhaddyumnasya
dhīmataḥ brahmahatyām cariṣye aham tvadartham niyatendriyaḥ
10. Arvāvasu said: 'Your honor should indeed perform the sacrificial session (satra) for the wise Bṛhaddyumna. I, with my senses controlled, shall perform the penance for the killing of a Brahmin (brahmahatyā) for your sake.'
