महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-7, verse-12

ततः पुत्रांश्च पौत्रांश्च भ्रातॄनथ सखीनपि ।
शयानान्निहतान्दृष्ट्वा ततो मामब्रवीदिदम् ॥१२॥
12. tataḥ putrāṁśca pautrāṁśca bhrātṝnatha sakhīnapi ,
śayānānnihatāndṛṣṭvā tato māmabravīdidam.
12. tataḥ putrān ca pautrān ca bhrātṝn atha sakhīn
api śayānān nihatān dṛṣṭvā tataḥ mām abravīt idam
12. tataḥ putrān ca pautrān ca atha bhrātṝn api sakhīn
śayānān nihatān dṛṣṭvā tataḥ idam mām abravīt
12. Then, having seen sons, grandsons, brothers, and also friends lying slain, thereupon he spoke these words to me.
