महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-7, verse-5

यौ तावर्जुन शिष्यौ ते प्रियौ बहुमतौ सदा ।
तयोरपनयात्पार्थ वृष्णयो निधनं गताः ॥५॥
5. yau tāvarjuna śiṣyau te priyau bahumatau sadā ,
tayorapanayātpārtha vṛṣṇayo nidhanaṁ gatāḥ.

tayoḥ apanayāt pārtha vṛṣṇayaḥ nidhanam gatāḥ
5. pārtha arjuna te yau tau śiṣyau sadā priyau bahumatāu,

5. O Pārtha, due to the transgression of those two disciples of yours, Arjuna, who were always dear and highly regarded, the Vṛṣṇis met their end.
