महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-39, verse-21

ततो गङ्गां समासाद्य क्रमेण स जनार्णवः ।
निवासमकरोत्सर्वो यथाप्रीति यथासुखम् ॥२१॥

21. Thereafter, that ocean of people, having gradually reached the Ganga, all made their dwelling there, each according to their pleasure and comfort.
