महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-23, verse-20

श्वश्रूश्वशुरयोः कृत्वा शुश्रूषां वनवासिनोः ।
तपसा शोषयिष्यामि युधिष्ठिर कलेवरम् ॥२०॥
20. śvaśrūśvaśurayoḥ kṛtvā śuśrūṣāṁ vanavāsinoḥ ,
tapasā śoṣayiṣyāmi yudhiṣṭhira kalevaram.

20. O Yudhishthira, having performed service to my mother-in-law and father-in-law, who are dwelling in the forest, I will emaciate my body through spiritual austerity (tapas).
