महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-23, verse-18

साहं नात्मफलार्थं वै वासुदेवमचूचुदम् ।
विदुरायाः प्रलापैस्तैः प्लावनार्थं तु तत्कृतम् ॥१८॥
18. sāhaṁ nātmaphalārthaṁ vai vāsudevamacūcudam ,
vidurāyāḥ pralāpaistaiḥ plāvanārthaṁ tu tatkṛtam.
18. sā aham na ātmaphalārtham vai vāsudevam acūcudam
vidurāyāḥ pralāpaiḥ taiḥ plāvanārtham tu tat kṛtam
18. sā aham vāsudevam ātmaphalārtham na acūcudam vai; tat vidurāyāḥ taiḥ pralāpaiḥ plāvanārtham tu kṛtam.
18. Indeed, I did not incite Vāsudeva for my own benefit. Rather, that action was taken to overwhelm (the enemies), prompted by those lamentations of Vidurā.
