महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-78, verse-7

तस्माद्गावो महाभागाः पवित्रं परमुच्यते ।
तथैव सर्वभूतानां गावस्तिष्ठन्ति मूर्धनि ॥७॥

7. tasmādgāvo mahābhāgāḥ pavitraṁ paramucyate ,
tathaiva sarvabhūtānāṁ gāvastiṣṭhanti mūrdhani.

7. tasmāt gāvaḥ mahābhāgāḥ pavitram param ucyate
tathā eva sarvabhūtānām gāvaḥ tiṣṭhanti mūrdhani

7. tasmāt mahābhāgāḥ gāvaḥ param pavitram ucyate

7. Therefore, the highly fortunate cows are declared to be the supreme purifier. And likewise, cows reside at the highest position among all beings.
