महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-141, verse-5

अथैनमब्रुवन्देवाः शान्तक्रोधं जितेन्द्रियम् ।
असुरैरिषुभिर्विद्धौ चन्द्रादित्याविमावुभौ ॥५॥
5. athainamabruvandevāḥ śāntakrodhaṁ jitendriyam ,
asurairiṣubhirviddhau candrādityāvimāvubhau.

5. Then the gods said to him, who had subdued his anger and conquered his senses: 'These two, the moon and the sun, have been pierced by the asuras with arrows.'
