महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-141, verse-12

उद्भासितश्च सविता देवास्त्राता हतासुराः ।
अत्रिणा त्वथ सोमत्वं कृतमुत्तमतेजसा ॥१२॥
12. udbhāsitaśca savitā devāstrātā hatāsurāḥ ,
atriṇā tvatha somatvaṁ kṛtamuttamatejasā.

atriṇā tu atha somatvam kṛtam uttama-tejasā
12. ca savitā udbhāsitaḥ devāḥ trātāḥ hata-asurāḥ

12. The sun was made to shine forth, the gods were protected, and the asuras were slain. Then, by Atri, who possessed supreme splendor, the state of being Soma (the Moon) was brought about.
