महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-141, verse-23

अथेन्द्रस्य महाघोरं सोऽसृजच्छत्रुमेव ह ।
मदं मन्त्राहुतिमयं व्यादितास्यं महामुनिः ॥२३॥
23. athendrasya mahāghoraṁ so'sṛjacchatrumeva ha ,
madaṁ mantrāhutimayaṁ vyāditāsyaṁ mahāmuniḥ.

23. Then, the great sage (muni) Cyavana indeed created a very terrible enemy for Indra: Mada, who was formed from the sacred hymn (mantra) oblations and had a gaping mouth.
